Introduction

This is the second in a new series of review articles looking at Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software products. Each review takes the format of a walk-through using a simple structural example. The full capabilities of each product can’t be covered in a few pages, but I hope to give you a feel for the basic workflow required for each product.

Introduction to Inspire

 

This month’s review looks at solidThinking Inspire 2018 from Altair. This is a structural optimization program which provides a complete workflow from geometry creation and/or manipulation, through FE analysis to topology optimization and geometry shape fitting of the resultant configuration.
